Revenue types

Revenue types can be used for reporting the revenue (and costs) of the different kinds of services you’re delivering from projects.

When you create a deliverable you can select a revenue type. The revenue type determines which ledger accounts are used for booking revenue and costs which are directly related to the deliverable. Because the revenue is booked on different ledger accounts, you can report the revenue separately using financial KPIs.

By default, there is one revenue type available in your environment. This revenue type will be the default revenue type for each created deliverable.

If you don’t want to report the revenue and costs of different types of services you deliver, you can mark this step as complete.

Otherwise, use this step to access the Revenue types function where you can create and set up revenue types.
